WoW, it looks as good as it smells! i could smell it way over on my blog :) You are soooo sweet to make this for me. It sure helps with the end of semester blues. May we eat it out of the pan, or do we need to put it on plates?

I like to slice thin wedges and eat it out of my hand. Or formally on a plate with a fork. It would be really hedonistic to grab a friend and two spoons and eat out of the plate. Or make it a threesome.
Maze, ask Sprite if you can have a piece. Take a piece anyway, better yet, grab a big spoon.

While I've been off in the Queendom, y'all ate the pie! Great, and there is always more. Mimi, I have to meet you, I'll head to your page in a minute, but so you know, I took the picture, I made the pie, my mother made the doily, and I am baby sitting the glorious Christmas cactus for my friend Bill who has gone west for the Winter.
Yay, I see we have a full pie!!!!. Thanks, Carla, for providing an endless supply :) You may have more visitors once the decadent aroma wafts throughout zaadzland :-D Is that a meringue on top that is so exquisitely toasted?

I'm giggling because my posts on pie or biscuits always get the most comments of any. Yes, indeed, that is meringue… eggwhites and sugar, pinch of cream of tarter, beat till stiff glossy peaks form, DO NOT OVERBEAT, and toast in the oven. Recipe for whole pie is here.
