This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 21, 2007:
I was thinking about my name this morning and here is the question!
I am named for my father, who's first name was Carl. My mother invented the name by adding an A to his name. She had never heard the name Carla before. (I was born on a farm in Tennessee before we had television.)
I grew up wishing I had a normal name, I felt so weird anyway, why did it have to pointed out with my NAME? LOL
Last year my teacher, a Native American mystic, gave a teaching that our parents were divinely inspired to give us our names, even if it was unconscious. They were responding to the predominate vibration we came to express in this lifetime. Therefore, I am in this span of years, CARLA.
