How did you start on your spiritual path?

Posted on Oct 15th, 2008 by Carla : peace artist Carla
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 15, 2008:

When I was three I remember seeing the Moon. When I was 13 I saw a comet for the first time. Sometime in between, I rode the Milky Way out to beyond where God lives, and it scared me. So that is who I am, Galaxy Girl, Star Bitch, see her, in that painting in my icon, (all grown up).

This is how I stepped on to the expression of my path I am walking today:
Brother Jesus sat me down on the ground in a Sweat Lodge and said to me: I like this, it feels good. Do you like this? I said yeah I like it, I really like it, Wow, do I like it!
And Jesus said, then let's keep doing it.

One thing led to another and here I iz!

This comet is Hale-Bopp, not my first, which was Comet Bennett.
Comet Clouds and Big Maple

A Lakota Sacred Sweat Lodge.  They sang in the Lakota language and told stories.  Saw visions in the second round.  Very healing.  I am going again in a few weeks.

I am very happy to be back.  I am thinking won't take time off again any time soon.  I feel very balanced.    :)   Happy you were still on my friend's list.  Love reading your writings.

Hey Carla, TY I will. Maybe next summer when the whole east coast is one big sweat lodge! Lol!
I have to say that 100 degree heat last June did feel pretty good for a while but I was thankful for the dip to 94 that day I sat on Long Beach Island.

Hey, Doug, it doesn't get that hot in Maine. You hear that all you Mid Atlantic New York/ New Jerseyans. I used to live there, so I know hell is not hotter than New York City in the summer. Gaia gathering in Maine next summer sometime. Fun!

I like the way you put this with Brother Jesus and the sweat lodge.  There's no doubt in my mind that if Yehshuah was around, he'd be sweatin' with the “skins”, singing medicine songs, and generally being invisible to the folks who don't even remember his name and think he's “Geez-us.”

As a matter of fact he is….. hahahahahaha
