Women's Wisdom part 1

Posted on May 10th, 2008 by Carla : peace artist Carla
I can't resist the juice of adding to the  list of quotable women that  Tara
and others started today. Thanks Peri Aley Janet and other's that I am sure I will find as I  follow  you one to the other.

What beautiful energy you are contributing today, just what Mother (Gaia) needs!

Some of my favorites:

"There is a fountain of youth: it is
your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the
lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will
truly have defeated age. "
  -- Sophia Loren

"It's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you carry it." --Lena Horne

--Nut Tmu-Ankh Butterfly Dreaming

Copied rom a clipping on Mary Anne Driscoll's refrigerator:

. . .if a woman does a useless thing, none reproves her; if she does
a harmful thing, few seek to restrain her; but if she seeks to imitate
the goddess and to encourage others, all those in authority accuse her
of corruption. So it is more dangerous to teach truth than to enter a
powder magazine with a lighted torch.
                                                Tsiang Samdup
                                                The Book of Sayings

Tsiang Samdup may be a man, and may be fictional. Great quote anyway.

Pleasure is a vital nutrient. -- Christiane Northrup, M.D.

Being kept in ignorance about our orgasmic natures iz abuse.
                                                       –Carla Sanders

That's it for now. I'll  keep my eyes open. This is so energizing!

Yo Carla, Smokin' Wisdom but between Sophia Loren and Ms. Sanders; hard to tell who's hotter!  I especially love your quote: being kept in ignorance about our orgasmic natures iz abuse!”   Say it like it IS!

Love to you - and many little Big O's!

I love you both, you see me so well, beautiful beings!!!  what sweet gifts you are!

Here's more wisdom, in my inbox this morning…

“I want my children to have
all the things I couldn't afford.
Then I want to move in with them.”

- Phyllis Diller

Only, my kids are asking me to move in with them, and I don't want to. Me and my ex, moving in with the kids together, in our old age… dream on chilluns.!!!
Wouldn't that be a hoot! NOT!

Hey - Albert's yin speaking…here are a few of my fave quotes:

When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before.
– Mae West

There is nothing so pitiful as a young cynic because he has gone from knowing nothing to believing nothing.

Love involves a peculiar unfathomable combination of understanding and misunderstanding.

Those are wonderful wisdom quotes!  –and hey, maybe the anonymous “real” person behind Tsiang Samdup IS a woman!!!  (Or a man who is no stranger to his awesome female energy!)

Oops somehow I missed this during the wisdom weekend , ah but never too late to read some lovely quotes.

And it does make me wonder….my mother did always tell me to wash my hands. Maybe she's not the prude I make her out to be;-)
